The substrate is 1.5" thick foam carved so that the surface undulates. The surface was covered with thinset and Blazestone, Smalti, Marble, Glass Gems, Art Glass and Blown Glass were all embedded into the piece at various angles. This piece is both peppermint candy sweet and a bit bittersweet at the same time as are the holidays. Available.
